HResults Academy

RESEARCH:

Primary research provides the foundation for programming at the HResults Academy. Our original research studies focus exclusively on the impact of current economic, social and political events on the workforce and work environment. We interview and survey business and HR leaders representing a cross-section of industries and demographics. Our analysis draws heavily on anecdotal experiences and we compare and contrast viewpoints expressed from specific functional perspectives.

Our current research project, initiated in February 2010, focuses on the participants perceptions of restraints or opportunities realistically available to their organization based upon the specific actions they took to manage workforce expenditures during the current economic downturn. With the benefit of hindsight, we will be exploring and identifying "cause and effect" actions and their implications.

 

PROGRAM OFFERINGS:

HResults has launched the HResults Academy to provide HR Executives and professionals with an alternative to traditional Human Resources development curricula. Our emphasis is on the application of technical and interpersonal skills in a way that engages others, stresses critical thinking, and prompts HR professionals to become business “people” rather than business “partners”.

Provocative, collaborative and pragmatic, HResults Academy programs bring together professionals with diverse backgrounds, different perspectives and often contrary points of view.  Our objective: reflect the real world in our content, thinking and approach.   

 We provoke thinking about HR and HR-related tasks in a way that forces participants to view issues beyond the lens of their own experiencesThe “way it’s always been” isn’t the way it will always be and we embrace that reality.

 

In the future, we’ll offer a separate track for line managers and other business executives seeking to expand their range of thinking about people issues and enable them to better collaborate with progressive HR practitioners.
