HR Forensics

A growing Practice area, HR Forensics allows an organization to get a clear picture of exactly what it is spending on people issues. Particularly in larger organizations, many HR-related costs or investments go unmonitored or misreported. Expenditures for recruiting, training, employee services, etc. hidden or misclassified in departmental operating budgets often outweigh those routinely captured in the Human Resources Department budget. This unrealistic picture of the true cost of talent management squanders the opportunity to benefit from economies of scale and other efficiencies and impacts critical decision making.

An HResults forensic study will identify the true “HR spend” throughout an organization
and enable it to:

  • Identify those areas outside of the Human Resources Department where HR tasks are being performed
  • Discern the impact on line management
  • Create controls and accountabilities around HR investments
  • Identify potential cost savings through process re-design, elimination of redundancies, outsourcing and vendor management
  • Develop a business case and measures for future HR expenditures
